THE NIGHTHAWKS BASKETBALL TEAM TAKES FLIGHT WITH A NEW COACH
The Norbel Nighthawks acquire a new coach to start another season.
The Night hawks, as we know, start practice on November 10, 2009 and they enter the season with a new coach named Mike Poirier. Coach Poirier started coaching football at age fifteen, at the Pop Warner level, then played and coached high school football. After that, he coached at Christian Brother’s Academy (or CBA, for short).
The first goal Coach Poirier made for the team is to be a .500 team. He plans to make the Nighthawks team as structured as any high school team in the area. “To get a win this year we must do the small things, like rebounding and setting picks. A player who scores fifteen points in a game is great, but it is the small things that will make the team successful,” said Coach Poirier.
Finally, the Coach summed up his philosophy: “My coaching philosophy is: do the right things, and by doing the right thing you will be successful.”
